Jennifer Garner costumes on display
May 11, 2006
A late-breaking addition to the Avampato Discovery Museum's current costume
exhibit comes from Charleston's own Jennifer Garner. This week, the museum in
the Clay Center got two costumes Garner has used in her Emmy Award-winning TV
spy thriller, "Alias," the show in which she plays Sydney Bristow.
The costumes have been added to the exhibit, "Fashion in Film: Period Costumes
for the Screen," which is on display through June 11.
Garner's offerings include this blue dress, made of rubber, and the high-heeled
shoes and rhinestone choker she wore with it.
The rest of the exhibit includes costumes from major motion pictures, including
"Titanic," "Evita," "Out of Africa," "Pride and Prejudice" and "Gosford Park"
worn by such actresses as Nicole Kidman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Colin Firth, Meryl
Streep and Elizabeth Taylor.
